Mitch Allen is a self-produced artist, diving in and out of genres like soul, R&B, funk, jazz and progressive rock. He's been writing songs for many years but a particularly draining Ontario lockdown bore fruit to the newest project, So Soft. Recorded through a MIDI keyboard and several instrument plugins, So Soft is a multi-dimensional, sometimes psychedelic album that houses poppy, head-nodding rhythms underscored by insecure, frustrated characters.
